(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Grand Shia cleric, Ayatollah Seyyed Muhammad Ali Alavi Gorgani rebuked banking interest system, calling on Muslims to abide by Islamic rules.“God loves his creature and does not like to see them committing such sin,” said Ayatollah referring to the banking interests which is forbidden in Islam. “Refraining from taking and giving interests prevents social gap and austerity,” said the Islamic scholar.The Islamic scholar underscored that usury destroys the security of economy in the society, overshadowing economic prosperity. Ayatollah Alavi said,” in resurrection day [the day of judgement], human will be questioned on how they gain their properties and how they spend their money.”“Those who commit such sin, declare war on God,” Ayatollah Alavi Gorgani quoted the holy Quran as saying.All Islamic scholars underlined provided that Muslims not to abide by the Islamic rules related the case, a calamity follows upon the heels of another in the society. /129
